Scope of Works

Supply & Installation of fire stopping, penetrations seals & structural mortars

We installed the following fire protection Fischer Coated Panel System, Fischer FireStop Compound structural fire rated mortars, and Fischer Intumescent Acoustic Mastic joint seals.

140 West Street in central Sandton consists of a 10-storey North Tower and 14-storey South Tower. The building, which received a 4-Star Green Star SA Office V1 Design certification, offers exclusive landscaped roof terraces on the 8th, 9th and 12th floors, from which to take in the remarkable, panoramic views across Johannesburg.

The project offers a gym, state of the art auditorium, dedicated cyclist and motorcyclist bays, and shower and change room facilities to encourage users to commute by bicycle. The parking bays closest to the cores are dedicated to those who drive energy efficient cars. The use of tactile materials and the integration of planting and natural light throughout the building aim to give users the feeling of being close to nature.

OFP has provided fire stopping to the server rooms, fire escape staircases and passages installing Fischer coated panels and Fischer FireStop mortars, Fischer Intumescent Putty Pads, and polyurethane joint seals.
